Clamps for Engine Applications
Engine application clamps are necessary to fasten different parts of the engine compartment. To fit certain components and purposes, they are available in a range of sizes and shapes. There are two primary varieties: fuel line clamps, which provide a leak-proof seal on fuel lines and are usually composed of spring steel with a worm gear screw for tightening. Contrarily, constant tension clamps keep hoses—such as coolant hoses—under constant pressure regardless of variations in vibration or temperature. Beyond these are gasoline line clamp-like T-bolt clamps, which have a T-shaped head to make tightening them simpler. Air intake hoses are held in place by ear clamps, which have loops on both ends that bolt together.
