Hose clamp tightening isn't like regular fastener; oversight causes underutilization of clamp ability & unwanted leaks.

Introduction :

Installation Torque ensures efficient hose joint.

Exceeding torque limits may deform clamp / hose.

Beware of seizing/jamming with excessive torque.

Never exceed installation torque values on the drawing.

2. Tightening Speed

Boosting speed raises productivity, lowers joint quality.

Trade-off - 70% torque fast, 30% slow for balance.

Find the sweet spot for speed and quality.

3. Hose insertion on Pipe

Insertion of the Hose onto the Pipe/Spigot is the first step.

Ease in assembly: Direct push onto pipe.

Use "PARAFLU" coolant (50% diluted with water)

Check pipe bead & hose stopper during insertion.

Avoid lubricants to prevent joint slippage.

4. Positioning of the clamp

The clamp should be assembled perpendicular to the center of the joint.

Sufficient space must be kept near the edge of the clamp band for the hose as shown in the figure.
